The answer is, the difference between a wet unhooking mat and reeling in a missed bite. The angled tube makes the hook flip over when any pulling movement is made on the hook length, therefore finding a hook hold much more efficiently. Please note, Centurion hooks are only available in a barbed pattern. The barbless hooks used on these rigs have had the barb filed smoothly flat. |
